The Best Green Buildings in Hong Kong Part 1


One Bay East, Kwun Tong

Developed by Wheelock Properties, One Bay East is the winner of Sustainability Achievement of the Year at RICS Hong Kong Awards 2016. Achieving HK BEAM Plus and US LEED “Gold” certification, the project has a low-e double glazed curtain wall system that minimises the use of energy for air-conditioning and electrical demands.

One Bay East consists of a landscape courtyard, located between the two office towers, offering easy access to the waterfront promenade, and a communal podium garden which provides additional outdoor space.

Electric Road Office Project, North Point

The project consists of a 22-storey office tower with 2-storey of retail shops, 1-storey podium garden, and 2-storey of basement car park; whilst 18 KWR consists of a 23-storey office tower with 2-storey of basement car park. Both projects target to achieve three green design certifications: LEED Platinum certification, BEAM Plus Platinum and CGBL 3-Stars.

Aiming to build a ‘Healthy and Green’ office, the project will incorporate natural ventilation, balance between natural Light and shading and urban connectivity into the planning and design.
