The “Nine Palace Flying Star Methodology” in Feng Shui divides the year cycle into three 60-year combinations, which is the “Za Zi” (60-years cycle). Three Za Zi cycles constitute a whole year cycle of 180 years, where each “Za Zi” consists of three 20 years of “Yun” (fate/ fortune).

The period of 1984 to 2003 was situated in the “Seven Yun”, which was good for professionals in industries such as singing, performing, media, fortune telling and selling.

“Seven Yun” in Feng Shui benefits the Eastern direction with water. During this period, the urban development in Hong Kong was constructed in the East and near water, which attracted many private developers to build in the East. A number of buildings were built in the East during this time, such as Taikoo Shing, Heng Fa Chuen as well as Shau Kei Wan. Areas such as the Western District, Pok Fu Lam, Aberdeen, Ap Lei Chau, Wong Chuk Hang, Cheung Sha Wan, Tsuen Wan, Tsing Yi, Sham Tseng, Tuen Mun and Yuen long could be ideal areas for property investment.
