Pantone predicts kale will be all the rage in 2017

While any MasterChef fan will tell you that kale is so 2013 it’s the colour, not the food, that is set to be trendy in 2017 – according to the internationally renowned colour institute.

Along with a denim blue tone: Niagara, primrose yellow and lapis blue, kale was on the list of ten trendy colours to watch out for according to Pantone Fashion Color Report Spring 2017.

Vitality, relaxation and the great outdoors are all inspiration for this latest report on colour trends for spring 2017.



Expect to see lots of blues that are both bright and pale, warm pinks and lush greens across fashion and homewares.



Laurie Pressman,Vice-President of the Pantone Color Institute, says “Reminiscent of the hues that surround us in nature, our Spring 2017 Fashion Color Report evokes a spectrum of emotion and feeling.”
