Sino Family’s Luxury Mansion in Shek O Rented Out for HK$500,000 Per Month

The luxury property market has seen a resurgence in recent months, with high-value rental transactions becoming increasingly common. According to market sources, a mansion at 16 Big Wave Bay Road, Shek O, owned by the family of former Sino Group chairman Robert Ng, has been recently rented out for HK$500,000 per month.

Agents revealed that the mansion spans a plot size of approximately 21,490 square feet, with an indoor usable area of 6,059 square feet. It features six bedrooms, a 15,000-square-foot garden, and a private swimming pool.

The property was listed for rent earlier this year with an asking price of HK$500,000 per month. It has now been leased at a rate close to the original asking price, with the estimated rent per square foot at HK$83.

Due to the mansion’s location, tenants are required to hold a membership at the Shek O Country Club. If the tenant does not already have a membership, the landlord can assist with the application. However, the club’s membership fee is HK$1.35 million, which must be paid by the tenant. Additionally, the club conducts a vetting process to evaluate the tenant’s eligibility.
