Last Friday, the Hong Kong Mortgage Corporation eased mortgage rules ahead of next month’s Policy Address. Previously, only buyers with unfinished flats below HK$6 million were eligible for mortgage insurance.
However, analysts say that market sentiment has deteriorated due to an uncertain economic environment and interest rate concerns.
