A luxury property on The Peak, has set a new benchmark in Hong Kong’s property market. The house at No. 1 Gough Hill Road was sold for HK$1.088 billion, with the price per square foot reaching an astonishing HK$94,997, making it one of the most expensive transactions in recent years.

The residence is part of a prestigious development at No. 1, 3, and 5 Gough Hill Road, owned by Cheerfull Trading Limited. This recent transaction marks the first sale in the project after its listing, with the price reflecting the rarity and exclusivity of such properties.

The property is the largest in the development, boasting a usable area of 11,453 square feet. It features five en-suite bedrooms, along with a 10,357-square-foot garden, a 3,035-square-foot rooftop, a 130-square-foot terrace, and a 589-square-foot parking space. The house also comes with a private swimming pool and jacuzzi.

This record-breaking sale surpassed a previous notable transaction in 2024 when a villa at Kerry Properties’ Mont Verra in Kowloon sold for HK$1.028 billion at HK$90,318 per square foot. The Gough Hill Road property outperformed it by HK$60 million, setting a new high for luxury home prices.
