March development highlights

Since Chinese New Year, developers have been gearing up in their race to unveil new properties. Industry statistics predict there will be approximately 3,000 units spread across five developments available in March, with over 2,000 sales -- a figure set to triple per month.

Tseung Kwan O LOHAS Park MALIBU Wheelock

Wheelock's project MALIBU in LOHAS Park, Tseung Kwan O, will be ready for sale within the week at the earliest, clinching the spot as the first new development for sale in the Year of the Dog. MALIBU comprises of 1,600 apartments ranging from one- to four-bedroom units. Up to 60 percent of these units are two-bedrooms, while single bedroom units make up approximately 1 percent. There will be a minimum of 320 units released for the first batch of MALIBU sales.

Repulse Bay Road new development Cheung Kong

Additionally, Cheung Kong performed well in sales last year, with over HK$50 billion in transaction value. They have four new projects in the pipeline for this year, which will provide a total of 2,424 units. Among these, the plot on 90 Repulse Bay Road will yield 11 detached houses ranging from 5,000 to 6,000 square feet. These sizable houses are slated for a March release at the earliest.

Henderson is also hopeful for a March unveiling of their project located at 12-18 Tin Wan Street in Aberdeen. Most of the 142 units available will be one-bedroom and will feature an open layout design.
