Unlocking the potential of Tseung Kwan O

One of the areas that have undergone mass transformation in the last few years is Tseung Kwan O. Located in the New Territories, Tseung Kwan O has grown into a family-friendly neighbourhood with an estimated 400,000 residents. Previously a fishing village with little to boast about, Tseung Kwan O is now a flourishing neighbourhood with a range of community facilities, local and international schools, and has become no stranger to developers capitalising on the area. With several new properties under construction, Tseung Kwan O has been pushed into the spotlight, and there’s more to come from the fishing village turned thriving neighbourhood in the coming few years.

Tseung Kwan O’s main selling point is its close proximity and accessibility to nearby shopping malls. Located in the hub of Tseung Kwan O, and just above the MTR station, Popcorn Mall is an extensive shopping mall that serves predominantly the residents living in the complexes about the mall. Spanning across two floors, Popcorn Mall has a total of 150 stores selling every day amenities to more luxury goods. Whether you want to hunker down on a burger at simplylife or needing a coffee fix from Starbucks, Popcorn Mall is home to a handful of cafes and restaurants ranging from fast food joints to fine dining restaurants.

Similar to Popcorn Mall, East Point City is situated near the MTR station, easily accessible from Tseung Kwan O as well as Hang Hau. Offering moderately-priced products from over 160 stores, East Point City provides a well-rounded shopping and dining experience for residents living in Tseung Kwan O and nearby areas.

Tseung Kwan O Waterfront

Although Tseung Kwan O has become a bustling area with its string of new properties and growing population, it still has spots for a bit of R&R - the waterfront being one of them. On top of glistening scenic views, the waterfront also has cycling tracks and jogging tracks which attract residents and exercise enthusiasts.

Get a breath of fresh air at the Tseung Kwan O Waterfront Park. Offering panoramic views of Hong Kong Island, the park opened in 2013 and stretches from Tseung Kwan O all the way to Tiu Keng Leng. Pet owners and their furry friends will love the pet garden located inside the Tseung Kwan O Waterfront Park, the grassy area is a popular spot for leisurely dog walks and playtime sessions.
