Stanley Market
Stanley Market has become one of the most popular street markets in the city and is buzzing with tourists over the weekend. It stretches through alleyways with troves of unique, iconic Hong Kong and Stanley souvenirs. Although it’s not a big market, Stanley Market is full of character.From little trinkets to “I love Stanley” t-shirts, Stanley Market is a traditional open-air market located on Stanley New Street. Compact stalls fill the cobbled streets with most of the shopkeepers living in Stanley and setting up shop over 10 years ago, giving the market a sense of friendliness that rivals over other markets in Hong Kong.

Stanley Main Beach
There’s no better way to escape the city than by dipping your toes in the silky white sand of Stanley Main Beach. It is one of the larger beaches on the Southside of Hong Kong, and is home to the chaotic annual dragon boat races of Tuen Ng Festival. Stanley Main Beach is also great for other water sports such as windsurfing, surfing and kayaking with equipment available for rent from Stanley Main Beach Water Sports Centre.

Murray House
Named after Sir George Murray, a well-respected British soldier and politician, Murray House is located just above the water promenade in Stanley, along with Blake Pier. The three-storey Murray House was transplanted from its original location in Central, and relocated to Stanley in the 2000’s. It originally served as the officers’ quarters for the Murray Barracks under the British rule. One of the oldest surviving buildings in Hong Kong, Murray House is a 160-year-old colonial building which now houses several restaurants and retail shops.

Stanley Plaza
Stanley Plaza is a one-stop-shop located in the heart of Stanley. You’ll be able to find a handful of restaurants, some of which provide alfresco dining, such as Beef & Liberty, Chez Patrick Deli, Classified, as well as Starbucks and McDonald’s. On the shopping front, there are several family-friendly stores such as G.O.D, Bumps to Babes, Book Buddy, and more.

Popular amongst families, Stanley Plaza provides convenient access for parents with strollers. Children will also love the pirate ship-shaped playground on the ground floor of the shopping mall. Stanley Plaza is a pet-friendly shopping destination, with several facilities suitable for dog owners.

Stanley Promenade
Whether you live in the area or visiting Stanley on a day trip, the picturesque views from the Stanley Promenade will blow you away. Stanley promenade can be explored by foot where you will be blessed with glistening ocean views the whole way. The area is packed with big chains as well as smaller independent cafes, restaurants and bars that provide alfresco dining like Pizza Express and the long-standing The Boat House, which draws large crowds over the weekend. When you’ve finished exploring Stanley for the day, follow the road that rolls around to the top where you will reach the bus terminus to get you back to the city.
