Though most buildings in the area are rather old, Kennedy Town offers a wide selection of apartments for rental for under $10,000. The extension of the MTR line has certainly drawn more foot traffic to the area but it hasn’t created too much impact on the prices of daily amenities and Kennedy Town has remained relatively local with mostly mom-and-pop stores. Facilities in the area include Smithfield Municipal Services Building, Kennedy Town Community Complex and Kennedy Town Swimming Pool. Aside from the MTR, residents can also take the tram as the western terminus of Hong Kong Tramways is located in Kennedy Town.
