Over 1,000 people will be converging to hear the most exciting developments in education at the first ever TEDx ED event in the Asia Pacific on 15 June 2013.
Themed “School’s Out”, TEDxHongKongED will bring together some of the world’s experts in learning and education, and will cover topics including “Inclusion v.s. Conformity”, “Creativity, Rhythm, and Education”, and “Censorship and Controlling Ideas in the Classroom”.
Speakers range from Deputy of the National People’s Congress of the PRC Sophie Leung who founded and chairs The Young Entrepreneurs Development Council, to adventurer Rob Lilwall, who completed a 3-year Cycling Home From Siberia expedition and a 5,000 km Walking Home From Mongolia expedition.
Other speakers slated to talk include Francis Ngai of Social Ventures Hong Kong, Merijn Everaarts of Dopper, Melissa Lee of The Fairytale Project, Peter Kenny of Branksome Hall Asia, Dr. Yvonne Chiu of HKU, Dr. Jadis Burton of The Harbour School, and international drumset artist Chris Brien.
