For the 12th consecutive year, Hong Kong hosted the Business of Design Week (BODW): Asia’s leading design forum, organized by the Hong Kong Design Centre. From December 2nd to December 7th, BODW brought together famous designers from around the world, architects and CEO’s to share their insight with professionals and the public. It was a world-class platform for the exchange of creative ideas, and an internationally renowned annual design event.

BODW aims at promoting design and strengthening ties between design and the business communities. It drew the world’s attention to current design trends through various exhibitions, international forums and outreach activities tailored to provide designers, business leaders, educators, SMEs and the public with communication opportunities to build strong business and commercial development.

One of the strengths of this annual event is that it incorporates design from all aspects that is, all design disciplines were appreciated, from fashion design to graphic design – though this year focused more on product, interior design and architecture. BODW witnessed some of the best in the design/architecture world such as Stefano Giovannoni, Toyo Ito and Sou Fujimoto, to only mention a few, grace the forum.
