Lee Tung Estate, established in the 80s, is many people’s common memory and has witnessed the growth of Hong Kong people. The flat is 27o sq. feet with narrow space and single light source, giving a dim and suffocating feeling. The designer broke the kitchen wall and adopted an open design to brighten and enlarge the living room. The original kitchen location has become the bedroom to regulate the space. Designs that allow flexibility for more storage space are like pull-type TV cabinet and platform floor. As the gross area is limited, the main tone is white to brighten up the space, topped with industrial style which gives a chic feeling. Materials like cement wall, glass screen and pipes give limited space a rough character.
