Dr. Ellen Fisher has been with NYSID since 1999, beginning her career at the College as a member of the faculty, and later becoming lower division area coordinator, associate vice president for academic affairs, and ultimately, vice president of academic affairs and dean in 2012. Fisher is a New York State certified interior designer, with graduate degrees in teaching with technology, and architectural studies. She earned a PhD in Architectural Studies/Human Environmental Sciences from the University of Missouri in 2011. For many years, she maintained an active design practice in the New York metropolitan area. Her many areas of expertise include evidence-based design, design & literacy, and digital learning.

James Law JP, is an architect, technologist and entrepreneur. Renown for creating the philosophy of Cybertecture in which a better world is designed with technology to alleviate suffering for mankind, his company’s projects cover buildings, spaces, technologies, education and social enterprises.
James is a Justice of the Peace, Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum; a Council Member of World Economic Forum Global Agenda Council on Design & Innovation; Board Member of the Hong Kong Design Centre, Board Adviser of the Hong Kong Designers Association, and Member of Hong Kong Trade Development Council Real Estate Advisory Board.
James is the founder of architecture and space design firm – James Law Cybertecture; laboratory for future investment firm – Cybertecture X; design education institution – Cybertecture Academy, and social innovation NGO – Cybertecture For Humanity.
James and his companies are winners of multiple international awards including the FT Asian Innovation Award, Edison Award for Innovation, Design for Asia Award, HSBC World Architecture Award.
James received his undergraduate and postgraduate degrees from Bartlett School of Architecture at University College London and is a chartered architect of Royal Institute of British Architects, Architects Registration Board UK, Hong Kong Institute of Architects, Architects Registration Board Hong Kong.
James has a passion for art, social innovation and travel. He resides in Hong Kong, London and Dubai with his family.

Having over 20 years of experience in the Art and Design field Elliot is highly knowledgeable in many facets of Commercial Design. His experience covers interior, interior architecture, exhibition, retail, casino, hospitality, hotel, restaurant and mixed use developments – over the years, collecting along his way, awards for companies such as Apple computers, Galaxy Resorts and ION orchard Mixed use development.
He currently leads the Cartier brand across Asia and their “Concept Evolution, “ design movement– a major design overhaul of their Iconic stores helping to steer and guide their Boutiques with locally influenced city concepts aiding in the modernization of their interiors and external architecture.

Mr. Marvin Chen is a founder of Amasia International Architects Ltd and AMQ Ltd.
Being a Registered Architect in Hong Kong, China and with APEC, he has over 30 years practical experience in urban planning and architectural design for a diversified range of large-scale development projects in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and South East Asia. Moreover, he actively participates and promotes the development of the profession and the architectural education in Hong Kong.
Marvin was the Honorary Secretary for The Hong Kong Institute of Architects from 2013-2014 and the Chair of Architects Registration Board, HKSAR from 2014-2016.
He is the current President of The Hong Kong Institute of Architects for 2017 – 2018.
Managing Director of Wheelock Properties (Hong Kong) Limited
Mr. Wong has been a Director of Wheelock Company since 2010. He joined the Group in 1989 and is currently the managing director of WPL and WPHK, an executive director of WAC, as well as a director of certain other subsidiaries of the Company. He is presently responsible for overseeing the property development and related business of the Group in Hong Kong. Mr. Wong also serves as a vice-chairman of the general committee of EFHK and a member of the Legal Sub-committee of REDA. He is also a director of the Hong Kong Green Building Council, a fellow member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, and a board member of the Estate Agents Authority.
Mr. Wong was an associate member of the Central Policy Unit of the Government of the HKSAR from 2013 to June 2017. He is also a coopted member of the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE) – Applied Learning Subject Committee of the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority from September 2015 to August 2018, and a member of the Advisory Committee on Enhancing Self-reliance through District Partnership Programme of the Home Affairs Department from July 2016 to June 2018. Mr. Wong graduated from the University of Wisconsin in the US with a Master Degree in Business Administration.
Graduated from the Industrial Design Department of Hong Kong Polytechnic in the early 80’s, Ron Leung has been practicing his creative career in different design fields. Starting as a product designer, Ron has extended his boundary and worked as full time graphic designer in 1986. In 1987, he started up his own practice as design consultant providing industrial and graphic design services to the customers in Hong Kong and from overseas until 1999, when he was appointed as Creative Director by the regional head office of Safilo Group, one of the leading fashion eyewear manufacturers and distributors in the world.
In Safilo Group, Ron was taking care of the regional creative marketing activities where he has further expanded his creative territories to Trade Show, Interior, Visual Merchandising, Branding and Event Design. In 2004, Ron founded L.I.M. Design Work Limited, a multi- disciplinary design consultant firm.
Browsing through Ron’s portfolio, one might easily find an obvious motif among his works: a distinctive flair of simplicity. 「I won’t deny if people regard me as a hard lining minimalist; actually, I’d feel that as a compliment. Simplicity always possesses the magical charm, which is timeless, tasty, classy and causing impact – and always sells」 Says Ron. 「To me, Design is not to satisfy the designer, and not even the project client, but the end users.」
