For space, luxury and a serviced apartment that residents can truly call home, Gateway

Apartments has redefined the model| Text : Christina Kautzky |

Finding a place to call home can be something of a challenge in Hong Kong, particularly when looking for a serviced apartment. But imagine entering a spacious apartment and dropping keys on a table in the hallway, throwing shoes into a large but discreet wardrobe, taking a seat on an overstuffed sofa and enjoying a glass of wine while looking across Victoria Harbour. Across two towers, 14 floors and 499 apartments in Tsim Sha Tsui, Gateway Apartments’ studio to three-bedroom serviced units provide a truly exceptional way to make Hong Kong home.

For a seasoned Hong Kong dweller, one of the first things that is immediately noticeable is the size. What’s more, the layout is such that every square foot is usable space, making an already large apartment feel even more spacious and open.

Ranging from 712 square feet for the smallest studio – much larger than many 2-bedrooms across the city – to 2,931 square feet for a penthouse 3-bedroom, Gateway sets itself apart, and consequently provides its residents value per square foot that is unparalleled among the upper echelon of serviced apartments.

Equally impressive is the careful balance of luxury and a sense of being “home” that is so difficult achieve. Plush sofas, large flat screens and surround sound stereo systems are ideal for lounging on a lazy Saturday, while the dining room is made for entertaining guests, family and friends for long lunches or dinners.

For the master chef at heart, Gateway has designed kitchens as a necessary, separate room, complete with a large refrigerator, dishwasher, gas range and oven. An array of utensils, tools and appliances are at residents’ disposal, including a blender, toaster, food processor, espresso machine and Asian or Western dishware – everything one would need to create a gourmet meal, and save the leftovers for later.

Bedrooms today have become all things to all people, and in that vein Gateway has created spaces that are quiet and serene, while being flexible enough to meet individual needs. Master beds are perfect to sink into after a long day, and large enough to accommodate little ones who sneak into bed at night. Bathrooms feature marble countertops, separate showers and baths, and in keeping with Gateway’s harbourside location, arresting views of land and sea.

Throughout the apartment, every detail has been considered: thick carpets, solid wood doors, beautiful finishings and the option to decorate as much – or as little – as a resident wants. What Gateway does is something of an anomaly in the serviced apartment space. The property takes the idea of luxury and blends it with comfortable surroundings, spacious layouts, sweeping views and a desire to make its residents feel at home, every moment of their stay.
