Engel & Völkers expands its global portfolio in Hong Kong

Buying or selling a property is like a lottery. It all depends on luck, timing and opportunity. And if you’re looking for someone who can help and at the same time you can trust, then the international real estate agency group Engel & Völkers can lend a helping hand. Opening its flagship offices on Caine Road in Central Mid-levels, it provides bespoke real estate services and opportunities to high-end customers.

Mainly specializing in residential leasing and project marketing, corporate relocations and international property brokerage, Engel & Völkers offers a distinctive “Made in Germany” service brand. Founded in 1977 in the western suburbs of Hamburg, Germany, it started as an entirely residential real estate agency. The company gradually expanded and soon it gained a prominent position in the global luxury real estate market.

For more than 30 years, Engel & Völkers has been recognized as a real estate service provider. The 400 property shops in 32 countries spanning the four continents of Europe, Asia, America and South Africa prove the company’s qualifications and expertise. And the decision to open its head office in Hong Kong didn’t appear to be a difficult one. “Hong Kong offers market transparency and presents fewer language barriers,” says Engel & Völkers’ managing director Ginn Lai. “It is a major real estate market to commence our foray into the Asia region.”

Unlike other traditional retail agencies, Engel & Völkers’ exterior presents a clean façade and uncluttered window display. Target customers are a mix of Hong Kong Chinese, expatriates and overseas investors. Focusing on residential sales and leasing from the mid to luxury end, they also market selected international properties through their global network. Though the company has only six staff members, they guarantee to provide an impeccable service.

Lai also shared that they additionally plan to open stores in Happy Valley and Stanley next year. And as the company continues to pursue growth in the Asia Pacific region, it aims to expand in Thailand, Australasia and Greater China. The latter is said to be their largest market for expansion where it is envisioned that 200 property stores will be opened within key cities in China, Hong Kong and Macau.

Engel & Völkers is arranging housewarming parties for clients and customers for both property purchases and rentals. For more information, visit www.engelvoelkers.com.hk or call 2561 3616.
