Magazine Manager
PART TIME - Graphic Designer - Web Focused
Position: Magazine Manager
Requirements:
- Experience in managing the Print production Process
- Experience as an Editor of an Industry and/or Community Magazine
- Proven copy-writing and proof-reading skills
- Experience in managing Distribution and Print third party suppliers
- Experience in managing multicultural teams
- Ability to work to deadlines to produce top Quality Publications
- An interest in lifestyle and Property
- Strong command of the English (British) Language
Responsibilities:
- Managing the Print Production Process for two (2) magazine titles, resulting in three (3) issues per month
- Providing editorial Support to the Editor, including Proof Reading and signing off on Digital Proof
- Project Managing the Distribution of the Magazine stable, including managing 3rd party suppliers
- Reviewing Production Costs, and identifying avenues for efficiency

- Possess formal training in graphic design
- Minimum 3 years related experience in magazine design
- Excellent knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, flash, Dreamweaver and firework
- Strong knowledge and experience in web design
- Fluency in spoken English
- Possess strong creativity with impressive portfolio
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all designed related tasks
- Provide layouts for magazine including general editorial features
- Follow the production process from concept to printing stage of the magazine
- Work closely with the editorial team
- Ensure consistent, high quality design in the magazine
- Provide design support for advertising and marketing materials
- Create online banners and other advertising material
