The prestigious area of the peak offers a relatively quieter lifestyle to Hong Kong living. Buildings are restricted in height and therefore tend to be generally low rise with commanding views of either the harbour or the Southside of Hong Kong. This area has both old and new residential buildings, often with green or city views with many overlooking Hong Kong Park. Bowen Road is a long flat road, renowned amongst runners and walkers alike. Easy access to Admiralty and Wan Chai make this a popular area for MTR users and people going out to the lively bars and restaurants of Wan Chai and Causeway Bay.

This prestigious residential area is a popular choice particularly for expatriates due to its attractive living environment overlooking its large beach and the South China Sea. The area comprises of a combination of luxury high rise and low rise developments with many townhouses commanding spectacular seaside views. Repulse Bay is a good choice for families due to its great facilities, out door space and varied selection of schools and preschools and close proximity to the beach.

Located around the Zoological and Botanical Gardens, Mid-levels Central is a little further up towards the Peak than most of the other mid-levels areas. Consequently this area tends to be a little cooler and also greener. Property is a mix of high-rise and colonial low rise buildings. Although it is within walking distance of Central, many of the larger blocks have their own shuttle bus down into Central or Admiralty.

These areas are further on from Stanley and comprises of a selection of accommodation, high and low rise buildings and townhouses. Most properties have spectacular sea views and of Tai Tam Country Park which is a great place for Hiking/ walking particularly along the Tai tam Reservoir. It is very close to the Hong Kong International School and there are many good preschools located within the Redhill Peninsula. The American Club is located here. The other benefit of this location is its easy access to the Eastern side of Hong Kong as an alternative route to the various business districts such as Causeway Bay , Central and Kowloon.

Situated on the western side of Hong Kong is Pokfulam which has a varied range of accommodation from high to low rises. It is a quiet tree lined suburb but conveniently situated for access to Central. It is within close proximity to hospitals, The Hong Kong University, schools and supermarkets. Cyberport is also located in the Pokfulam vicinity which has a hotel, supermarket, cinema and restaurants.

Generally regarded as a densely populated area particularly around Robinson and Conduit Roads, Mid-levels West is popular with the younger set, especially for those wanting easy access to the Mid-Levels escalator and the bars and restaurants of SoHo and Lan Kwai Fong. Further West around Po Shan Road, the area is more open and green, often with larger and more spacious property overlooking HK University and close to the comprehensive selection of shops along Bonham Road. Public transport into Central is easy with frequent buses and minibuses.
